Container filling installation

Veenstra Technology has developed a container filling installation for a container terminal in Zaandam. With this container filling installation, a large bag (liner) in a container can be inflated against the wall in a few seconds. In the next step it can be fully loaded with product under pressure and at great speed. In this way, the container is filled dust-free, quickly and above all optimally.

Description of the filling installation

The installation consists of a frame to which a filling spout construction is mounted. To enable movement of this filling spout, 2 flexible cardan/swivel points have been fitted. This allows the filler spout to move back and forth. This is done by means of a double-acting cylinder that is controlled by an electrically operated 5/3 air valve. The rear position is the rest position and the front position is the filling level.

A valve is fitted at the front of the double-walled outflow pipe. This valve prevents product residues falling out after filling. The valve is manually operated by a manual 3/2 air valve on the discharge pipe.

The double-walled outflow pipe is also provided with a connection to which a fan is connected for inflating the liner into the container. To close the liner, a liner clamp with quick release  is fitted, so that the filling hose of the liner can be clamped around the tube. The operation of the installation is simple and can be done by means of al wired console on which various buttons are fitted.
