Calculating the head of an agitator acting as a pump
We recently determined the delivery head of a side-flanged agitator at a customer’s request. This customer uses the agitator as a pump in flower bulb and onion washing machines. The agitator is mounted on a tank, with the agitator element (in this case a marine propeller) positioned within the discharge pipe. Using our agitator calculation programme and a simulation from our fluid dynamics programme, our agitator engineering determined the delivery head for our client.
