Key features of the batch mixers
A dissolver is used for the preparation of paints and inks during pre-dispersion. This is done to disperse organic or inorganic pigments and additives in the solvent and binder without forming lumps. They achieve this by means of a stirring element consisting of a horizontal disc with toothed cutters around its circumference. This enables dissolvers to exert significant shear forces in viscous liquids, thereby facilitating the production of homogeneous mixtures. Dissolvers are suitable for larger-scale, intensive operations. A dissolver is particularly well-suited for mixing paint, ink and solids.
