Keyway milling at Veenstra Technology

When cutting keyways, no stress is placed on the material, and we can work with the highest precision, in line with the tolerances required for your product.
Our company has been in existence for over 100 years. In 1921, the predecessor of Veenstra Technology – a blacksmith’s workshop – was founded. How does keyway bonding work?
Keyway milling involves cutting keyways into a product. Cutting keyways is a „machining technique“: metal is scraped away from the workpiece. This scraping is carried out by a milling cutter: the keyway cutter. This is repeated until the correct keyway is created. This method of metalworking is extremely precise within pre-agreed keyway tolerances, and we can produce keyways in various sizes, ranging from very wide to narrow keyways.
